Despite a distinguished 30-year career spent delighting the palettes of guests at luxury hotels and resorts across the nation, Chef Lonny Huot is still not satisfied. In fact, his appetite for innovation only seems to be increasing with the years.
“At each of the properties where I’ve been fortunate enough to work, I’ve always set myself the same challenge, that of creating food experiences that complement the unique setting I’m working in while transcending it at the same time. When you couple the rustic luxury of Edgewood with the overwhelming beauty of Tahoe, you’ve got to be pretty adventurous in order to live up to that challenge.”
Chef Lonny makes no bones about his vision of fueling a genuine dining renaissance here on the shores of America’s greatest lake. “We’re sourcing our ingredients locally, utilizing state-of-the-art kitchen technologies, and attracting young, wonderfully inventive talent,” he says. “Our aim, quite simply, is to make Edgewood Tahoe a bona fide, top-of-mind gastronomic destination. A place people come to for the food and stay for the beauty.”
