Event Venue Expansion Underway (Sept 2025 – Jan 2027)
Edgewood Tahoe is enhancing our special event spaces, introducing a stunning 5,600 sq ft ballroom, a lakefront private dining room, and an expansive heated outdoor deck. During this time, you may notice additional activity and changes to the valet parking at the adjacent Clubhouse building. We appreciate your patience during our beautification project.

Sustainability

“To be stewards of the land, guardians of the Lake, and solid corporate citizens of the communities in which we operate”

The fact we borrow this land from future generations is something that is not lost at Edgewood Tahoe, which is why we remain committed to a continued legacy of land stewardship and environmental redevelopment. With every move we make, our number one focus is always on minimizing our environmental footprint and keeping this pristine area just as pristine for those who come after us, as it was for those who came before us.

Commitment to Sustainability: Our Green Practices in Action

  • Lake Sourced Cooling System
The resort’s innovative lake-sourced cooling system utilizes 43-degree water from Lake Tahoe, drawn through a 600-foot deep pipe beneath the lake’s surface. The Impact: This eco-friendly system cools the entire building without the use of electricity or fossil fuels making it a sustainable and energy-efficient solution.
  • Jellyfish Filtration System
The jellyfish filtration system plays a key role in enhancing water quality. Water from Stateline is filtered through the system, then directed to the golf course pond and stream. As it flows through the property’s wetlands and settling ponds, fine sediments and nutrients are effectively trapped, ensuring that only clean, purified water is released back into Lake Tahoe. The Impact: This initiative significantly reduces pollutants entering the lake, contributing to the preservation of its pristine ecosystem.
  • The Lodge Construction
The Lodge is built using locally sourced materials, including refurbished wood from the old Edgewood dock, now featured in the Great Room stairway, and granite from a nearby quarry. The Impact: This approach not only highlights the region’s natural resources but also minimizes the environmental impact of long-distance material shipping, supporting sustainability and reducing carbon emissions.
  • AirCarbon Straws and Cutlery
The resort uses AirCarbon straws and cutlery as an eco-friendly alternative to plastic. These innovative products remain sturdy in both hot and cold foods or drinks, are dishwasher-safe and reusable, and have a carbon-negative footprint, helping to reduce plastic waste and lower our environmental impact. The Impact: By using 200,000 Jumbo AirCarbon straws and 50,000 Cocktail AirCarbon straws annually, we avoid 12,215 kg of CO2e emissions, significantly reducing our carbon footprint.
  • Tree Planting
The resort has planted over 130 trees on the resort grounds and in collaboration with the Sugar Pine Foundation, works to plant saplings throughout the Lake Tahoe region every Earth Day. The Impact: Actively contributing to the restoration and preservation of the local ecosystem, ensuring a greener future for generations to come.
  • Room Keys
Plastic room keys are replaced with eco-friendly wooden keys, reducing plastic waste and supporting our commitment to sustainability. The Impact: By switching to wooden room key cards, the resort eliminated the use of approximately 40,000 PVC plastic cards annually.
  • Aluminum Water Bottles
The resort replaced plastic disposable bottles with aluminum water bottles across golf, valet, rooms, banquets and F&B operations, promoting sustainability and reducing single-use plastic waste. The Impact: The adoption of aluminum water bottles has prevented 120,000 single-use bottles from ending up in landfills each year.
  • Retail Bags
Retail shops within the resort have eliminated the use of retail plastic bags. The Impact: Prevention of 15,000 plastic bags from entering circulation each year, significantly reducing waste.
  • Electric Car Charging Stations
Edgewood Tahoe proudly offers four Tesla charging stations and two additional all-purpose charging stations for various electric vehicle brands. The Impact: By promoting sustainable transportation, the resort makes it easier for guests to lower their carbon footprint, enhancing their stay while contributing to a greener future.
